Recently FAMU has been trending for all the wrong reasons. There has been a recent trend of people on social media describing it as a “ghetto” school. It all started when twitter user @itsgivingme posted a message saying “I love FAMU, it’s like we ghetto, but we not CAU ghetto, we boujie, but not Howard and Spellhouse boujie, and we country but not Jackson State country”.

Despite the fact that the twitter user was showing love to FAMU in his own way, many people found the tweet disparaging to all the schools mentioned, and validation seeking. It’s easy to see why many people felt he was saying there is something wrong with being very ghetto based on the context of the tweet.

Things took an unexpected turn when twitter user @hailebriggs revealed that her mother got pregnant with her during a threesome with a drug dealer in the back of a 1998 Cadillac at Chuck E. Cheese’s, before she graduated from FAMU University.

In the tweet responding to @itsgivingme she wrote, “my mom got pregnant with me in a threesome with a drug dealer friend in the back of a 1998 Cadillac in a Chuck E. Cheese’s parking lot on a Tuesday night. My mother also graduated from FAMU. The ghetto is very much alive and well babe. No need to compare yourself for some validation”.

It seemed she was trying to convey that FAMU is just as ghetto as the other schools that it was compared to in the viral tweet she reacted to, and that there is nothing wrong with being very ghetto. Was revealing she was a threesome baby the best way to do that though?

Naturally, people were shocked that the woman revealed the Chuck E. Cheese’s threesome story about her own mother getting pregnant, and that a mother would let her daughter know when, where, and how she was conceived in that manner.

Can you imagine what that conversation was like? Maybe she found out from someone else though, which some people feel is equally as bad all things considered.

However, if you view this situation from a different perspective, you could also argue that it shows her and her mother have a strong bond where they can share all their secrets comfortably.
