People are reacting to Donald Trump getting permanently banned from Twitter after Twitter executives discovered people planning a future attack on Capitol Hill Building.
According to statement released by Twitter executives, Trump Supporters were planning an armed protest that would take place at US Capitol and State Capitol buildings on January 17th. This led to Twitter permanently banning Donald Trump from Twitter and closing his account.
In Twitter’s statement they allegedly said “Plans for future armed protests have already begun proliferating on and off Twitter, including a proposed second attack on US Capitol and State Capitol buildings on January 17, 2021“.
While many people are celebrating Donald Trump getting permanently suspended from Twitter, this could only serve to make the civil unrest grow even more. Twitter claims they banned Donald Trump for inciting violence, but in doing so Twitter may be inciting violence too.
Donald Trump getting permanently banned from Twitter will likely enrage the already enraged Trump Supporters even more, and fuel the unwarranted hatred that is motivating them.
Hopefully cooler heads prevail, and this moment brings peace to everyone.
