Often times you hear Lakers fans complaining about Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s play on the court, but Game 1 was one of the moments where he silenced all the doubters. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope KCP chase down blocked Tyler Herro’s dunk attempt like Lebron James in front of Katya Elise Henry during Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals.
The play told the story of how KCP played incredible defense, along with the clutch efficient three point shooting. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was hounding Tyler Herro all game making him work hard for each basket. Tyler Herro thought he would have a NBA Finals dunk Highlight with Katya Elise Henry watching, but KCP had other plans for him.

The over basket camera angle really showed how incredible Kentavious Caldwell-Pope KCP’s block on Tyler Herro really was. The timing and pause in the air was like poetry in motion.
KCP barely gets off the ground on dunks, so it was shocking to see how high he was in the air. Playing in the NBA Finals will do that to you.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope KCP now has one of the greatest blocks in Finals history at the expense of Tyler Herro. I guess you could call this his welcome to the NBA moment. Hopefully Katya Elise Henry doesn’t break up with Tyler Herro after seeing KCP block his dunk.
