How Luka Doncic Made Lebron James Cry During Lakers Blowout Loss to Mavericks

It was another rough night for Lakers fans, something they have become accustomed to. With Lebron and AD out the lineup the Lakers were down by as much as 38 points midway through the third quarter of their matchup with the Mavericks. With only a half game lead on the Spurs this game was pivotal for the Lakers, and naturally Lebron was on the sideline emotional, but not in the way you would think.

How Did Luka Doncic Make Lebron James Cry During Lakers vs Mavericks?

As expected Luka Doncic was putting on a show destroying Lakers’ awful defense. He had a triple double even before the third quarter was over. Lakers fans knew things were getting bad when Frank Vogel put Trevor Ariza and Kent Bazemore in the game. Unfortunately Kent Bazemore was given the task of guarding Luka Doncic, and as expected things didn’t go well.

Luka Doncic broke Kent Bazemore’s ankles multiple times in embarrassing fashion with his behind the back step back move. At one point Luka Doncic crossed Kent Bazemore at the top of the three point line, and sent him flying so far back he ended up ender the basket. The camera caught Lebron James crying in tears laughing at Kent Bazemore’s destruction. As evil as it sounds it seemed Lebron was enjoying watching his team get embarrassed by Luka Doncic without him. Checkout Luka Doncic making Lebron James cry laughing at Kent Bazemore’s expense.

Here are Luka Doncic’s full highlights. It’s surprising he isn’t a top MVP candidate along with Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic.

Luka Doncic finished the game 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists. Lakers are now tied with the Spurs for the 10th spot, but since Spurs won the season series Lakers are officially the 11th seed and out of the playoffs if season ended today.

With only about 7 games left to go in the season every matchup is now a must win for the Lakers. Will they miss the playoffs for the second time since the Lebron era started? It will all depend on how healthy Lebron and AD will be down the finishing stretch.
