Zion Williamson, the 22-year-old star of the New Orleans Pelicans, recently announced that he is expecting a baby girl with his girlfriend, Ahkeema. The couple shared their joyous news in a YouTube video and on Instagram, where they revealed the gender of their child with a fireworks show.

However, not everyone was happy for them. Some social media users accused Ahkeema of being a gold digger who trapped Zion with a pregnancy. They also pointed out her posts on social media which appear to reveal that she may have been selling CPN schemes to people.
What is a CPN?
A CPN, or credit privacy number, is a nine-digit number that some people use instead of their social security number to apply for credit cards, loans, or other financial services. However, using a CPN is sometimes illegal and can lead to identity theft, fraud, or worse. According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), “there is no legal way to get a new credit identity by using a CPN”. The FTC warns that in some situations people who use CPNs may be breaking the law and face serious consequences.
How Did Social Media Expose Ahkeema’s alleged CPN Schemes?
Some social media users claim that Ahkeema, who goes by @notaconcreterose and @ahh_concreterose on Instagram, has been promoting and selling CPNs to her followers. They point out her posts where it appears she claimed to help people with “business credit, building credit, check stubs, and CPNs”. It’s alleged some of her posts have been deleted or made private, but some screenshots are still circulating online. Take for example the viral photo below.
Zion Williamson has not commented on the allegations against his girlfriend. Some fans have defended them from the online backlash. They argue that their relationship is genuine, and that they deserve privacy and respect. They also congratulate them on their baby news and wish them happiness.
Zion Williamson and Ahkeema are expected to welcome their baby girl later this year. Zion is preparing for the upcoming season in the NBA, which may define the rest of his career. In the short timespan he has been in the league he has missed a majority of his games with injury, and when he was healthy he was out of shape. Perhaps becoming a father could be the motivation he needs to flip the script, and make it through a full season for the first time.
