Beau Biden tragically passed away in 2015 after a long battle with brain cancer. However, during the speech in question Joe Biden claimed that Beau Biden died in Iraq while talking about the 10 Mountain Division of World War II. In his own words Biden said, “American soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division scaled that 1,800 foot cliff, at night, caught the Germans by surprise, captured key positions, and broke through the Germans’ defensive line at a pivotal point in the war. Just imagine, I mean it sincerely, I say this as a father of a man who won the Bronze Star, the conspicuous service medal, and lost his life in Iraq”.

Hearing Joe Biden confidently say that his son Beau died in Iraq made us think of the legendary USA Network Show ‘Mr. Robot’ that’s currently streaming on Amazon Prime. In that show the main character Elliot rewrote his own memories to deal with traumatic events in his life. Beau Biden actually died at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland.

Is it possible that Joe Biden has convinced himself that Beau Biden was in Iraq when he passed away despite being aware he wasn’t, is this more proof to fuel the criticism from people are skeptical about his mental health, or is he reading pre-written speeches and not actually thinking about what he’s saying in the moment?
