David Beckham’s Crying Reaction to Lionel Messi’s Game Winning Golazo Kick in MLS Debut Goes viral
Lionel Messi, one of the greatest football players of all time, made his debut today for Inter Miami CF, against Cruz Azul, a Mexican football club. The match was held at DRV PNK Stadium in Miami, Florida, and was a thrilling encounter with both teams putting on a strong performance. Messi stole the show with a stunning free kick in extra time to secure a 2-1 victory for Inter Miami, and David Beckham’s reaction is going viral.
The first half was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating chances but failing to convert them into goals. Inter Miami had the better of the possession, but Cruz Azul looked dangerous on the counter-attack. The game remained goalless at half-time, with both teams heading into the break with everything to play for.
The second half started in a similar vein to the first, with both teams looking to take control of the game. Inter Miami continued to dominate possession, but Cruz Azul looked more threatening going forward. The deadlock was finally broken in the 60th minute when Cruz Azul’s striker scored a stunning goal to give his team the lead.
Inter Miami responded well to going behind, and began to pile on the pressure. They were finally rewarded in the 75th minute when their captain, Gonzalo Higuain, scored the equalizer with a well-placed header. The game was now finely balanced, with both teams pushing for a winner.
As the game entered extra time, both teams knew that a single mistake could cost them the game. The match looked destined to end in a draw, but then Lionel Messi stepped up to take a free kick just outside the box. Messi had been brought on as a substitute in the second half and was yet to make a significant impact on the game.
However, he had other ideas. With just seconds remaining on the clock, Messi struck the ball with incredible power and accuracy, sending it flying past the Cruz Azul goalkeeper and into the top corner of the net.
The stadium erupted in celebration as Messi ran towards the fans, arms aloft, to celebrate his incredible debut Golazo goal. The camera would pan to show David Beckham crying in tears of joy at what he just witnessed.

Lionel Messi’s MLS debut was a memorable one thanks to his Golazo, which is a soccer term for someone making a really amazing shot. The goal was a reminder of Messi’s incredible talent and his ability to change the course of a game in an instant.
It was also a sign of things to come for Inter Miami, who will be hoping that Messi can continue to produce moments of magic like this throughout the season.
